Thank you for visiting Metcash Careers

Metcash is one of the Australian organisations who were potentially impacted by a data security incident involving our technology partner PageUp. We use PageUp to manage job applications and candidate information.

We take data security very seriously so we immediately suspended connections between Metcash’s systems and PageUp while we sought urgent clarification from PageUp.

PageUp has advised that forensic investigations have confirmed that an unauthorised person/s gained access to PageUp systems and some personal data relating to job applicants and references may have been accessed by the unauthorised person and possibly disclosed.

As per earlier communication we recommend that anyone applying for a role at Metcash between July 2014 and June 2018 change the password used via this link: https://secure.dc2.pageuppeople.com/apply/654/aw/applicationForm/default.asp

PageUp has now advised that it is confident that the most critical data categories including resumes, financial information, Australian tax file numbers, employee performance reports and employment contracts are not affected in this incident.

PageUp has also advised that the incident has been contained on PageUp systems and that PageUp is safe to use.

In light of this advice, we have decided to reinstate our connections with the PageUp system.

If you have any further questions with respect to the data security breach, please feel free to contact Metcash at [email protected]
