About LSI

The Metcash LSI (Lifestyles Inventory) Program is a personal development program that builds participants self-awareness and self-regulation as they support their teams to contribute to the Metcash purpose of Championing Successful Independents.  

The LSI program brings leaders across Metcash together in cohorts that rely on each other for mutual success. Utilising the Human Synergistics LSI self-awareness instrument, participants build an understanding of their thinking styles and their subsequent impact on behaviour.  

The LSI program equips leaders to focus on building a constructive culture that promotes effective collaboration, results and relationships.

MetCareers Month

MetCareers month is an annual, month-long initiative designed to shine a spotlight on careers and development at Metcash. The initiative includes facilitating live and self-paced learning sessions, exploring professional development opportunities, showcasing success stories and creating a space to focus on careers during the annual talent cycle.

In 2023, the theme for MetCareers month was “Make a Move to Make Your Mark”. The call to action was to reflect on our careers and determine the steps we want to take to grow in the year ahead. In 2024, we’re taking a deep dive into skills and development, offering bespoke workshops and capability sessions to allow team members to grow.

Talent Programs

As part of our commitment to growing our talent and enabling thriving careers, Metcash offers various invitation-only talent and leadership programs. Some of these programs include:

STRIVE

As part of our focus on empowering women in leadership, the Strive: Women’s Career Acceleration Program was launched in 2021 with the aim to equip high-potential female leaders with the key leadership capabilities needed to build upon the foundation of their leadership skills for now, as well as set them up for ongoing career success as a future leader.

EMPOWER

The Empower: Senior Leaders Program was launched in 2021 and is targeted at high-performing senior leaders across the business. The program provides an assessment and development experience for leaders to build their leadership capability. It is a tailored development experience for participants, designed to support their career progression across the business.

INSPIRE

In 2021, Metcash launched the Inspire: Executive Leaders Program, a program aimed at supporting and accelerating high-potential executive leaders’ career progression across the business.

The Executive Leaders Development Program provides an assessment and development experience for leaders to build their leadership capability. It is a tailored development experience for participants and is a premium program, offering a space for self-reflection, feedback, mentorship and development.
